Sewage Cleanup We Handle Safely
Cat-3 contaminated water requires EPA-approved disinfectants and full PPE. We are certified, equipped, and ready 24/7.
Toilet & Fixture Overflow
Backed-up toilet pushed sewage onto your floor? We extract, sanitize, and remove contaminated materials — not just mop and leave.
Sewer Line Backup
City sewer or your line backed into the basement. Cat-3 black water requires full PPE, structural disinfection, and documented remediation.
Septic System Failure
Septic backed up into the home? We handle the cleanup, sanitization, and structural drying. (We don't pump or repair the septic tank itself.)
Why Sewage Cleanup Is NOT a DIY Job
Sewage water is classified Category 3 ("black water") by the IICRC. It contains bacteria, viruses, and parasites that cause real disease. Mopping it up isn't enough — here's what proper cleanup looks like:
- Full PPE on every tech — respirators, suits, gloves, eye protection
- Containment to prevent contamination spreading to clean areas
- Truck-mounted extraction (regular vacs spread aerosols, not extract)
- Removal and disposal of porous contaminated materials (drywall, carpet, padding)
- EPA-approved disinfectants (not bleach — bleach is NOT enough on Cat-3)
- Structural drying after disinfection to prevent mold
- Documented chain of custody for insurance and health compliance
- Full PPE CrewRespirators, suits, gloves — not casual cleanup
- Containment ZonesNegative pressure to prevent aerosol spread
- Truck ExtractionIndustrial pumps, no vacuum cross-contamination
- EPA DisinfectantsHospital-grade chemistry, not household bleach
- Documented RemediationChain of custody for insurance + compliance
What To Do Right Now — While You Wait
A few quick steps can dramatically reduce damage and your final repair bill. Stay safe — never enter standing water near outlets or appliances.
Stop the water source
If a pipe burst, shut off the main water valve. For an overflow, turn off the appliance or fixture. Don't try to fix the pipe yourself.
Kill power to the affected area
If water is near outlets, electronics, or your electrical panel, flip the breaker before going in. When in doubt, wait outside and call us.
Move soft items off the wet floor
Lift rugs, furniture, books, electronics, and anything porous. The longer they sit in water, the less likely they survive.
Take photos — lots of them
Document every wet surface, every damaged item, and the source. Your insurance adjuster will want this. We'll add professional documentation when we arrive.
Don't use a household vacuum
Standard vacuums can short out and won't pull deep moisture. We bring truck-mounted extraction that pulls water out of carpet pad and subfloor.
Call RestorePro
The earlier we arrive, the more we can save. Free estimate, no obligation, insurance billed directly.
What Happens When You Call
No surprises. Here's exactly what to expect from the moment you pick up the phone.
You Call
A real person answers 24/7. We confirm your address and dispatch the closest crew immediately.
We Arrive in 60 Min
Our IICRC-certified team rolls up with industrial extraction trucks ready to start work the moment we're on-site.
Extract & Dry
We pull out standing water, set commercial dehumidifiers and air movers, and monitor moisture readings until the structure is bone-dry.
Restore & Bill Insurance
We document everything, work directly with your adjuster, and restore your home to pre-loss condition. You pay your deductible — that's it.
That's why our drying timeline isn't optional. Every hour of delay raises the risk that a water-damage job becomes a mold-remediation job — which costs 3-5x more and isn't always covered by insurance. We dry fast for a reason.
Why Use a Cat-3 Certified Crew
- IICRC Cat-3 (black water) certified — the highest cleanup classification
- EPA-approved hospital-grade disinfectants on every job
- Containment + negative pressure prevents aerosol spread
- We disposal-document everything — not piled in your driveway
- Insurance-grade chain of custody for the entire remediation
- Antimicrobial + structural drying after disinfection prevents mold

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to what most homeowners ask us in the first 5 minutes of a call.
Why can't I just clean up sewage myself with bleach?
Sewage is Category 3 ("black water") per the IICRC standard — it contains bacteria, viruses, and parasites that cause real disease. Bleach kills surface bacteria but does NOT meet the EPA-disinfectant standard for Cat-3 cleanup, and household vacuums spread contaminated aerosols. Improper cleanup leaves bioburden behind that grows mold and bacteria for months.
Is sewage backup cleanup covered by homeowner's insurance?
Often yes, but it depends on the cause. Sewage from a clog or city sewer backup typically requires a specific endorsement ("water backup coverage") on standard policies. Sewage from a burst pipe is usually covered under standard water damage. We review your policy with you for free.
How fast can you arrive for a sewage backup?
60-minute response, 24/7. Sewage backups are biohazards — the longer they sit, the more bacteria multiply and the harder cleanup becomes. We bring full PPE and Cat-3 disinfectants on every emergency dispatch.
Do I need to leave the house during sewage cleanup?
For minor toilet overflows, often no — we contain the work area. For sewer line or septic backups affecting larger areas, yes, until the disinfection is complete. Insurance will typically cover hotel stays in those scenarios.
Will you handle the septic tank or sewer line repair?
We handle the cleanup INSIDE the home — extraction, disinfection, drying, content remediation. We don't pump septic tanks or replace sewer lines, but we'll coordinate with your plumber so the cleanup and repair happen in the right order.
